We are extremely pleased to announce that three of our doctoral students were recognized by the jury for the best presentations during the International Workshop on Functional Nanostructured Materials – FuNaM-3, dedicated to functional nanomaterials. The main prize in the competition was awarded to MSc Eng. Małgorzata Nadolska, who presented the results of her research in a presentation titled "Ammonium vanadate/rGO composites: synthesis and applications." The author is working on a new group of materials for use in energy storage devices, among other applications. Honorable mentions in the competition for the best poster were awarded to MSc Eng. Mateusz Cieślik for the poster titled "Local surface electrochemical activation of 3D printed CB-PLA electrodes through femtosecond laser ablation" and MSc Eng. Mateusz Brodowski for "Designing the SARS-CoV-2 spike S1 protein assay by electric field-dependent interactions." The first presentation focuses on the application of 3D-printed materials in electroanalysis, while the second concentrates on designing a sensor for COVID-19 diagnostics. The conference, held in Krakow from October 6-8, 2021, was organized by the Jagiellonian University.
